Office of Refugee Resettlement MEMO 1: Clay-Thompson, The Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000:  Memo from Office of Refugee Resettlement, dated 5/3/01 regarding treatment of victims of severe forms of trafficking as other refugees.

Office of Refugee Resettlement MEMO 2: Hanh, The Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 - Removal of Expiration Dates from Certification Letters for Adults and Eligibility Letters for Children:  Memo from Office of Refugee Resettlement, dated 1/4/02, explaining that beginning on 11/6/01 all new certification letters will not have an expiration date and that anyone with a cert. letter issued prior to 11/6/01 will still have to renew their cert, but the renewal will not have an expiration date.

Policy Memo HQINV 50/1 from Michael Cronin dated August 30, 2001:  This memo outlines field policies for T- and U-Visas.  It gives definitions of key terms and instructs that persons who are potentially eligible for this type of relief are not to be removed until such time as their applications can be adjudicated.  In addition it gives preliminary instructions as to who may be eligible for relief through the T- and U-Visa.

Policy Memo ERDIR 70/6.2-P from Scott Blackman dated May 23, 2002: This memo outlines field policies for T- and U-Visas.  It instructs that persons who are potentially eligible for this type of relief must not be removed until they have had the opportunity to have their applications adjudicated.  The attached memo instructs that potential U-Visa applicants can be given deferred action for a period of up to one year.

Memo RE:  Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2003:  USCIS Memo HQOPRD 70/6.2 by William R. Yates, dated 4/15/04, informing T-Visa adjudicators of  legislative amendments affecting benefits for victims of a severe form of trafficking.
